Siftsoff has prior felony convictions including burglary, theft and harassment. In 2023, he pled guilty in Whatcom County Superior Court to violating a domestic violence protection order. This was considered a more serious crime since he had prior convictions. Given his past criminal history, the standard sentencing range was identified in court records as “60 to 60 months” of “actual confinement.” The court sentenced him to 12 months of community custody and, amongst other things, he was required to enter parenting classes and perform volunteer services.
His community custody term was extended 6 months in November 2023 after he was found to have violated terms of the community custody sentence. 30 days in jail was also imposed which could be done “by successfully completing in-patient treatment.”
As of April 30th, Siftsoff is in custody at the jail without the option for bail pending a preliminary appearance in Whatcom County Superior Court.
