Officials from the Whatcom County Fire Marshall’s office were on the scene to determine the cause of a fire this morning in the 6100 block of Portal Way.
Whatcom County Fire District 7 (WCFD7) crews were dispatched around 7:45am to a structure fire in the back of a trailer park. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the mobile home when they arrived.
Fire crews remained on the scene for about 1.5 hours.
According to WCFD7 Assistant Fire Chief Larry Hoffman, no one was injured but the fire displaced 2 adults and 2 children and the American Red Cross had been contacted to provide assistance. No cause of the fire would be available until the Fire Marshall completed their investigation.
