WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Washington State Department of Health announced Tuesday, February 25, 2025, that 2 health care providers have had their licenses suspended, both failing to respond to statements of charges.
In January 2025 the secretary of health indefinitely suspended Cory Len Campbell’s (ES60905627) emergency medical technician license. Prior to petitioning for reinstatement, Campbell must enroll in a recovery and monitoring program and respond to a letter of cooperation. In November 2023, Campbell consumed alcohol at his place of work. Campbell has failed to respond to a letter of cooperation from April 2024 and a statement of charges from October 2024.
In December 2024 the secretary of health indefinitely suspended Amber Joan Valdez’s (NC60928859) certified nursing assistant license. Prior to petitioning for reinstatement, Valdez must enroll in a recovery and monitoring program. In April 2023, law enforcement found Valdez under the influence of and in possession of fentanyl during a search of a residence where she worked. Valdez failed to respond to a statement of charges from August 2024.
