WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — As of this 6am this morning, Thursday, January 6th, Whatcom County schools and others have announced the following.
- Bellingham Schools – all schools are closed and extracurricular activities canceled
- Ferndale School District – all schools are closed and extracurricular activities canceled
- Lummi Nation School – schools closed this week due to COVID-19 concerns – students to return via remote classes Monday, January 10th
- Blaine School District – all schools will be running with remote classes today and tomorrow
- Meridian School District – all schools will be running with remote classes today and tomorrow
- Lynden School District – all schools are closed and extracurricular activities canceled
- Lynden Christian Schools – all schools are closed and extracurricular activities canceled
- Nooksack Valley School District – all schools will be running with remote classes
- Mount Baker School District – all schools are closed and extracurricular activities canceled
- Bellingham Technical College – on-site classes cancelled, campus is closed while virtual services are available, employees to work remotely
- Whatcom Community College – campus is closed while virtual services are available, beginning of Winter Quarter delayed until Monday, January 10th
- Western Washington University – campus is closed, no on-campus activities, all classes taught via remote learning will be held as scheduled
- Whatcom County Library System – all locations closed today, bookmobile stops at Wickersham and Lake Samish canceled
