Whatcom post-flood donation stations accepting donations

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Volunteers are needed mostly in Sumas and donations are mostly needed in Everson/Nooksack and there will be organized opportunities to contribute this weekend.

Donation stations are being set up in both Sumas and Everson/Nooksack. While Sumas is well-stocked except for toilet paper, the Everson/Nooksack collection station needs the following.

  • Adult clothing
  • Toys
  • Blankets
  • Bedding
  • Diapers
  • Formula
  • Baby clothing
  • Mops
  • Toilet Paper (Sumas also needs TP)

Gift card donations for hardware stores and grocery stores will also be accepted.

Starting tomorrow (Saturday, November 20th) these stations will be accepting donations, distributing donations and registering volunteers to help with clean up. While both locations will be taking volunteers, there is a particular need for extra volunteer help at the Sumas location.

The locations of these stations are:

  • Sumas: Advent Christian Church 125 Front Street, Sumas
  • Everson/Nooksack: the west end of the shopping center, 200 E Main Street, Everson
