Whatcom County EMS offers free online CPR class

WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. — Whatcom County residents are encouraged to register for a unique CPR class being provided online on Saturday, December 4th. Attendees will be shown the proper method for hands-only (not using rescue breaths) cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in the event it is needed to save a life.

Whatcom County EMS Training Specialist Steven Cohen told Whatcom News attendees will be able to use items such as pillows, towels or even a rolled-up yoga mat to practice doing chest compressions during the live online class.

While this class is not a certification class, it includes all of the necessary skills and knowledge for responding to a sudden cardiac arrest emergency.

Attendees for the 11am to 12pm class on Saturday, December 4th, need to register online ahead of time in order to attend the class.
