FERNDALE, Wash. — BNSF Railway has scheduled work at the Slater Road railroad crossing that will require closing both directions of Slater Road across multiple days beginning on Monday, July 13, 2026.
According to a July 10, 2026, announcement from the City of Ferndale, motorists can expect Slater Road to be closed from 8am to 10am on Monday, July 13, 2026 and then from 8am on Tuesday for 24-hours a day until work is completed. Work is expected to be completed by 6pm on Thursday.
Signs will identify detour routes around the closure. Main Street and Marine Drive are the closest east-west arterials.
