Ferndale Public Works clarified they are doing the water flush in the fourth group of neighborhoods (shown in green in the first map below) today and Wednesday. They plan to be in the neighborhoods east of Malloy Avenue Wednesday and Thursday.

The Ferndale Public Works Water Flush project moves off the map provided by the city and continues west past Malloy Avenue today, according to Public Works Supervisor Bo Westford. Although not part of the original schedule provided by the city, neighborhoods north of Thornton Street, east of Malloy Avenue, south of Kona Court and west of I-5 (shown in yellow below) will have their water mains “flushed” today and tomorrow.
There will be no water flushing on Friday nor over the weekend.

Click for more informationIn addition to today’s surprise, its been learned the water flush project will continue, starting next Monday, in neighborhoods south of Thornton Street as shown on the map below. As before, it is expected each section will require two days of “flushing.”
Discover Ferndale will provide updates as the project progresses. Public Works crews are also putting out street signs in neighborhoods letting neighbors know where they are.
