A semi truck drove off W Laurel Road last night after 9pm, December 16th, and into a power pole bringing down power lines. Crews had the road blocked between Aldrich and Old Guide Roads while the downed power lines could be cleared and the truck towed back onto the road.
Puget Sound Energy reported a few hundred were without power as a result of the accident. While most saw their power restored after about 1 hour, as of 6:15am this morning PSE reported 80 of their customers in the area were still without power. PSE’s estimation for restoring power was given as 8:30am.
Temperatures overnight were in the mid to low thirties making this situation a real concern for those impacted.
