A private contractor will be working on Washington Street again between 3rd Avenue and Golden Eagle Drive Tuesday, February 16th. Like last week, the road will not be entirely closed but will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic.
Expect to encounter flaggers from 8am to 5pm directing traffic to accomplish the alternating use of the single lane. This is the location of a previous closure that took much longer than originally planned.
According Ferndale Public Works, the “closure is necessary to allow for a private contractor to make upgrades to the existing sewer utility for new multi-family housing.”
