This summer’s roadwork project between Ferndale and Blaine will be working on the I-5 Portal Way interchange (Exit 263) this week beginning Sunday night according to the project manager.
The I-5 Main Street interchange (Exit 262) were resurfaced last week and this week the Portal Way southbound and northbound on- and off-ramps are scheduled for the same.
This week’s closure schedule (as of July 14th and subject to changes due to weather) looks like this:
Sunday 7pm to Monday 6am – Southbound ramps
Tuesday 7pm to Wednesday 6am – Southbound ramps
Wednesday 7pm to Thursday 6am – Northbound ramps
Thursday 7pm to Friday 6am – Northbound ramps
Drivers can also expect I-5 to be reduced to one lane through the work areas during these times.
The resurfacing project marks the first time this stretch of I-5 has been repaved since 1998.
