The community will have an opportunity to meet the first responders who serve the Ferndale area during an event Sunday afternoon from 12pm to 3pm on 2nd Avenue. As a result, 2nd Avenue, between Main Street and Vista Drive, will be temporarily closed.
The event is being sponsored by Windermere Real Estate.
First responders expected to be on hand include Whatcom County Fire District 7 (WCFD7), Ferndale Police and Emergency Medical Service (EMS).
Attendees will be able to see and tour vehicles and equipment used by the different agencies and chat with the first responders. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be provided courtesy of Windermere Real Estate.
