Yesterday’s high temperature in Ferndale as reported by a weather station near Ferndale High School was 87° at 3:40pm. The official high temperature at the Bellingham Airport was 88°, breaking the record of 86° set in 1965.

Today’s high temperature in Ferndale (per the weather station) was 91.2° at 1pm.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for today until 9pm tonight. A red flag warning remains in effect until midnight tonight due to high fire danger.

There have been a few fire calls for Whatcom County Fire District firefighters to respond to so far today but none were of any significant size.

Lows tonight are forecast to get down into the 50s and tomorrow’s high is forecast to be in the mid-80s.
