This week’s sunrises have been photogenic with occasional low clouds and low-lying fog and lots of clear skies.
National Weather Service Seattle office forecasters say the Puget Sound region can expect the fair weather to continue through the weekend. A rainy front is expected Tuesday followed by a stronger front Wednesday or Thursday.
An upper ridge will remain over the Pacific NW through Saturday for dry weather. For Friday and Saturday, there will be more widespread areas of night and morning fog and low clouds with mostly sunny afternoons under light onshore flow. The upper ridge over the area will gradually shift inland. A weakening frontal system will bring a little rain on Tuesday. Another front will approach from the west on Wednesday but most of the rain will probably hold off until at least Wednesday night.
