Not everything that happens in and around Ferndale ends up in a story. “The Ticker” is where you can find those items, answer the question, “why am I hearing sirens?” and get early info on breaking news while the story is being written.
- 3:40pm Aid was dispatched for a person needing assistance in the 5100 block of LaBounty.
- 9:40am Police responded to a call that a housekeeper at Super 8 Motel found two unexpected guests in what was supposed to be a vacant room. They headed out on foot but left behind personal property.
- 9:25am Aid was requested on N Star Road.
- 9am County Public Works staff report water over the road at Wickersham. Editor: Not in Ferndale (Wickersham is in the east county on Highway 9) but perhaps a sign of things to come in the weeks ahead.
- 8:45am Aid was requested at the Pilot gas station on Main Street.
- 7:30am A collision between vehicles was reported on Main Street by Barrett Road and the northbound I-5 on ramp.
