After a false start three days ago, the playground known as “Star Park” has ‘officially’ open to the public this morning according to a city announcement.
The playground had been open for a few hours following a ribbon cutting ceremony Sunday evening. But neighbors who brought kids to play the next day were surprised to find the playground closed. The city said there was still work to be completed and portions of the playground were visibly boarded off. No estimates for when it could be open were available.
The playground is located on Ferndale Road, just south of Pioneer Park. There are two separate sections, one for younger kids and another for older kids.
