FERNDALE, Wash. — Officials with Whatcom County Public Works reported about 9:30pm on Sunday, October 27th, that motorists should be alert for water over the roadway on Slater Road east of the Nooksack River bridge.
As of 7am on Monday, the road remained open with speed reduced through the area.
While the Nooksack River level remains well below flood stage, pastureland in the area has been saturated by rain and recent moderate rainfall has caused surface water flooding in low-lying areas.
