FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom County Public Works announced about 10am today, November 19th, they have reopened Slater Road and also Haxton Way.
Slater Road and Haxton Way had been closed due to water and debris over the roadway after the Nooksack River began to rise on November 14th.
Motorists on Haxton Way are advised to drive slowly due to remaining water over the roadway in order to avoid hydroplaning.
