BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Brigadoon Service Dogs is holding a 6-day online auction beginning Monday, September 6th. An in-person dinner and live auction will be held Saturday, September 11th at the Hotel Bellwether Ballroom.
The auctions are part of the organization’s annual fundraising effort to enable covering 2/3rds of the cost of a service dog for civilians and to provide them for free to veterans.
It takes two years and costs $30,000 to raise a service dog. Most people in need cannot afford the cost.Brigadoon Service Dogs
Service dogs enable veterans, children and adults with physical, developmental and behavioral health disabilities to be more independent.
Anyone wanting to participate in the online auction is asked to sign up in advance for free.
