Drivers can expect to see seat belt enforcement patrols between today, May 23rd and June 5th according to Ferndale Police. Police will be stepping up enforcement to crack down on motorists not wearing their seat belts.
Ferndale police have asked Discover Ferndale to help get the word out about these emphasis safety patrols in the hope more people will be aware to wear their seat belts to be safer or at least to avoid the $124 ticket.
These emphasis patrols are funded by Federal and State agency grants that focus on problematic traffic issues and locations.
