Santa and his helpers (also known as Whatcom County Fire District 7 firefighters) made their way down many north Ferndale streets after spending some time in the Portal Way neighborhoods earlier tonight. They had been out in other neighborhoods last night as well.
As was previously announced, Ferndale area firefighters are doing a very unique food drive this year and they’re getting help from Santa. Riding decorated antique firetrucks and handing out candy canes, they are accepting donations of non-perishable items for the Ferndale Food Bank.

Neighbors with grocery bags containing their donations could be seen lining the sidewalks tonight several blocks ahead of Santa’s entourage along.
Do not worry if you did not see Santa and the firefighters in your neighborhood. They will be back next week on Friday and Saturday starting at 6pm each day. Below are the neighborhoods they plan to be in on those days.
