Drivers should not be surprised to encounter a slow-moving Whatcom County Public Works crew on Ferndale streets tomorrow and Saturday. They have been hired by the City of Ferndale to refresh the center lines on all primary streets within the city.
City of Ferndale staff announced work to paint fresh stripes on Ferndale streets is scheduled for Friday, August 18th, and Saturday, August 19th, from 6am until 4:30pm.
Cones will mark recently striped roads and will remain until the paint is dry.
Streets will remain open but traffic may be slowed by the rolling work crew.
The City advises if a vehicle comes into contact with the paint before it is dry, it should be washed off with soap and water as soon as possible.
