Power outage hits downtown and Portal Way neighborhoods

Shortly after 11am today, Sunday, March 10th, a power outage was reported that impacted 1127 Puget Sound Energy customers in Ferndale.

As of 11:15am, PSE had not provided a cause for the outage and was giving the standard 2.5-hour estimate for when power would be restored (1:30pm).

PSE reported power has been restored to those impacted by the outage and a bird or animal was cited as the cause.
