Traffic has finally returned to normal with no backups in either direction. Drive safe.
Update 4:50pm
Northbound traffic remains backed up to Samish Way. Southbound now reaches back to Northwest Ave. It’s not pretty since the backup is not clearing up very quickly now that both lanes have been open for a while. The on-ramp is no longer blocked.
Update 4:25pm
Backup has lengthened to the Samish Way interchange. But it appears from the DOT cameras that the accident has been cleared off to the right, which should mean opening both lanes soon. On-ramp remains blocked.

If you get on I-5 south of Sunset on your commute home, you may be facing a challenge. A 3-car accident has northbound traffic backed up past Lakeway from the Sunset on-ramp. One lane is open at the accident scene.
