David George Lolkema, 58, of Bellingham, WA, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2022, due to complications of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease).
David is survived by his wife Katherine Lolkema, sons Trevor Lolkema and Jeremy Lolkema, daughter-in-law Teanna Perkins, parents Conrad Lolkema and Donis (Tate) Lolkema, brothers Matthew Lolkema (Donna) and Paul Lolkema (Kerry), grandsons Keegan Lolkema, Kyson Lolkema and Gage Perkins, his niece and nephews and Chester (aka Spaz). He is proceeded in death by his son Richard Brandon Perkins.
David was a member of Truth Tabernacle, Bellingham, Washington, where he was baptized in Jesus’ name, filled with the Holy Ghost, married and raised his children. He was a “jack-of-all-trades,” worked in the manufacturing industry and had a passion for working on cars. He loved classic cars and attended many local car shows. Grandchildren gave David something to look forward to in life and the joy on his face when they came to visit was priceless!
Despite his health condition, David had a good attitude and looked at the brighter side of life. We miss him already and look forward to seeing him again one day!
Service will be held on August 20, 2022, at 1pm at
