A global Facebook outage greeted its users this morning with a “down for maintenance” or a server error when they attempted to access the popular website.
Users of Facebook’s online photo-sharing service, Instagram, also suffered the same fate.
No official explanation has been issued.
Shortly after 7am, service could be seen being restored.
