The bright yellow object in the southeastern sky is the Sun. It can be seen every morning when there is sufficient clearing of the clouds, such as this morning. But it has been several days since it has made an appearance.
Neighbors grabbed their cameras to capture the sight, possibly knowing the days ahead are forecast to be gray and rainy.
