It was recently announced several key staff from the Ferndale School District were retiring and that left a few vacant positions including Horizon Middle School principal. Today, the school district announced they have hired Dr. Faye Britt to fill the role.
Currently, Dr. Britt is the assistant principal at Haller Middle School in Arlington, Washington.
In addition to her impressive educational accomplishments (including a doctorate), Dr. Britt is also a six-time Ironman finisher, six-time Boston Marathon finisher and a Golden Key Honor Society Member.
“Dr. Britt brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to our team. She is an excellent collaborator and is relationship oriented. Dr. Britt is a great fit for Horizon and Ferndale Schools,” said the district’s Director of Human Resources Paul Douglas.
