PSE is reporting the outage has been resolved and all affected customers have had their power restored. Unfortunately, another outage has just occurred on Douglas Road affecting a different neighborhood.
The number of affected customers is now down to 26 and the cause has been explained as equipment failure per PSE.
PSE reduced the affected customer count to half, 34, of the original count of nearly 70. And, while the most recent estimate of 8pm has past, no new time estimate for restoring power has been given.
PSE has extended the time by which they expect to have service restored by 30 minutes to 8pm. No cause has been announced. Neighbors in the area report seeing PSE crews investigating at different locations.
A power outage affecting nearly 70 customers in and near the Aquarius Avenue and Apollo Drive neighborhood was reported about 5:30pm today, August 23rd. Puget Sound Energy (PSE) work crews could be seen investigating. The neighborhood is primarily served via buried utilities.
According to PSE, the problem remained under investigation as of 6:45pm and the standard two-hour estimate (7:30pm) to restore power was being provided.
