Neighbors can help neighbors at Grocery Outlet during July

grocery outlet independence from hungerThe Ferndale Grocery Outlet will be empowering its customers to easily buy food to go to the Ferndale Food Bank while in the store.

According to a company announcement,

Grocery Outlet launches its 6th Annual Independence From Hunger® Food Drive July 1st to donate food throughout July, traditionally a time when food agencies experience the greatest need to serve children who are out of school during the summer.

The Ferndale Grocery Outlet is teaming up with Ferndale Food Bank, and will be collecting donations throughout the entire month of July that will go directly to that partner.

According Ferndale Grocery Outlet Owners Larry and Beth Brown, for the month of July there will be a bin at the front of the store to place donated purchases. There will also be pre-packed bags of groceries ready as well as $1 and $5 money donation vouchers available to buy if unsure about what items to donate.

Signs will be on shelves throughout the store during the month letting shoppers know which products the food bank is most in need of.
