FERNDALE/CUSTER, Wash. — Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reported 5,740 of their customer addresses lost power this morning, October 12th about 6:35am.
A PSE official told Whatcom News the outage was the result of planned work on a transmission line. It was relatively short-lived with power having been restored about 7am.

The outage followed a similarly located yet smaller outage that occurred exactly 12 hours prior. PSE reported that outage impacted 1,159 customer addresses. The same PSE official said that outage was caused by a squirrel on a transformer and the 2 outages were unrelated.
