The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) announced Halibut season will open May 2nd in Marine Area 7 (see map) and will only be open on the following days: May 2, 4, 9, 11, 18, 24, 26 and June 6, 8, 20, 22 as long as there is sufficient quota.
It is noted that in Marine Areas 6-10 it is unlawful to retain either Lingcod or Pacific Cod on Halibut days seaward of (i.e., in water deeper than) 120 ft.
