FERNDALE, Wash. — The Mt Baker Rock and Gem Club announced they are hosting their annual show this weekend at the Pioneer Pavilion Community Center in Ferndale. Admission is free.
The event will be held Saturday, September 11th, and Sunday, September 12th. Hours will be from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and from 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
According to organizers, club members put together display cases to educate and amaze show visitors.
There will be hourly drawings for door prizes, a silent auction, kids spinning wheel, fluorescent mineral display and club sales where rocks can be purchased individually, by the pound or by the bucket.
Commercial vendors showing specimens, jewelry, tools, etc. will also be at the show.
Raffle sales and donations during this annual event raise money for the club’s annual geology scholarship awarded a student at Western Washington University.
Purchases from club members will require cash.
