Man dead after shooting at Bellingham marina

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — First responders were dispatched about 9:55pm on Wednesday, June 19th, to the docks of a marina in the 1900 block of Roeder Avenue due to a report of a person with a gunshot wound.

According to unconfirmed emergency services radio transmissions at the time, 2 persons had been fighting on the dock when a gun went off.

Medical personnel declared the patient with the wound deceased at the scene.

The person with the gun reportedly called 911 and remained at the scene.

As of 8:45am on June 20th, Whatcom County Jail records do not indicate any recent related bookings.
