This Saturday, May 11th, Ferndale letter carriers will be picking up your donations of non-perishable food donations left in a bag set by or hung from your mailbox.
This is the 27th year the United States Postal Service and the National Association of Letter Carriers have held their national Stamp Out Hunger food drive.
Everything collected in the Ferndale area will be delivered to the Ferndale Food Bank where it will be made available to local families in need.
Additional volunteers will be out ahead of the mail carriers to help pick up donations so the carriers can stay on schedule. These volunteers will have signs on their trucks and also volunteer badges according to organizers.
This is an excellent cause. Many thanks to the organizers.
