According to the Washington State Patrol, 5 people were transported to PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center last night after the car they were in struck a tree.
A WSP report said shortly before midnight the silver 2007 Toyota Solara 2-door was heading south on Chief Martin Road when the vehicle failed to stop at the Cagey Road stop sign, left the road and struck a tree.
Transported to the hospital with injuries were the driver, a minor, Darian Johnson, age 24, Latisha Jefferson, age 19, Amilya James, age 19 and Charles Johnson, age 27.
According to the WSP, the minor driver and Darian Johnson were wearing their seatbelts and the other three occupants were not.
No further details on their injuries or conditions were available when this article posted.
The cause of the crash was listed as speed and driving under the influence. The vehicle was impounded and is considered a total loss.
