According to a news release from the recently formed Miracle Food Network of Ferndale, they are currently sponsoring and developing new programs for a homeless camp located in the Lummi Nation.

The homeless camp was built and maintained by Jesus Christ Chief Cornerstone Ministries operated by Vincent and Edith Misanes. For the last 9 years, according to the release, the couple has “built, facilitated and nurtured” the camp on their property.
It is our vision at Miracle Food Network to transform the homeless camp into a successful self-sustaining program for the disadvantaged population which; will include, new housing, improved facilities, a community center, case-management, and counselors. We are also in the process of developing a life skills and job training program on-site for the individuals making their way to Cornerstone. The residents will have the opportunity to become employed through our services in a supported environment, to achieve self-sufficiency.
