High Winds Forecast With Possible Snow

In addition to the recent forecast of snow this week, the National Weather Service has also issued a High Wind Watch starting late Monday through Tuesday night.

According to the alert,

Strong northeast winds of 25 to 40 mph with gusts to 55 mph are possible Tuesday into Tuesday night as modified Arctic air spills out of the Fraser valley and into the northern inland waters.

A High Wind Watch is issued when there is potential for a hazardous high wind event with sustained winds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or stronger expected.
