Police and aid units responded to a reported head-on collision on Main Street by Barrett Road about 3:30pm today, December 7th. The two cars involved, a black full-sized car and a silver compact car, both suffered extensive front end damage and were blocking most of the intersection near the northbound on and off ramps.
While the extent of injuries was not evident, aid was being rendered to at least on person at the scene.
There were traffic backups in the area even as law enforcement took up positions to keep traffic moving after they finished investigating the accident.
