A liquor license suspension was served on Greens Corner at Northwest Avenue and Smith Road today. But probably not for the reason you think it would be. According to a post on their Facebook page:
I need to make a big apology to all of our beer and wine customers. I neglected to pay a fine to liquor control for an infraction that we committed back in March. Liquor control has suspended our liquor license for five days. We will commence beer and wine sales on June 10, 2015. I am so sorry to our customers, my staff and my family.
This will likely be an extra painful suspension as it extends through this sunny weekend.
