It’s only 4pm and Main Street westbound is already backed up to the I-5 interchange. There are no blocking accidents or other typical reasons to point a finger at. But it is Friday and an unseasonably warm one at that and it’s likely everyone is getting an early start on their evening activities before the sun goes down.
The good news is while the westbound traffic volume is high, it continues to flow into and through the downtown blocks.
No one can be blamed for heading home or out to Hovander Homestead Park or VanderYacht Park to fire up a grill for an outdoor meal.
