National Weather Service Seattle office forecasters are saying to expect a chance of rain and snow after 4am tomorrow, Friday, February 21st.
Moisture is expected to spread inland Friday as a new weather system moves in. Depending upon when it arrives, there may be a light rain/snow mix during the early morning hours between 4am and 10am. Chance of morning precipitation is expected to be 30% and increase to 70% by the afternoon.
The opportunity for snow increases if the precipitation arrives before temperatures rise enough above tonight’s expected low of 32°. Snow levels will rise with the temperature resulting in mainly rain in the lowlands by the afternoon as temperatures are expected to reach the low-40s.
South winds with gusts to about 30mph are also expected tomorrow.
Environment Canada (EC) has issued a snowfall warning for tomorrow for southern British Columbia locations saying to expect 2 to 4 inches by Friday evening. The snow will intensify in the morning before tapering off in the afternoon according to EC forecasters.
Drivers should be alert to the risk of slick roads during the morning commute with temperatures expected around freezing with a chance of precipitation.
