Flags lowered in memory of Kent WA police officer killed in line of duty

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee issued a directive Monday for Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff Tuesday, July 31st, in memory of Kent Police Officer Diego Moreno who was killed in the line of duty on July 22nd.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business on July 31st.

A public memorial service will be held July 31st beginning at 1pm at accesso ShoWare Center, 625 W James Street, Kent, Washington following a procession of police vehicles along 4th Avenue in Kent beginning at 11:15am.
