President Donald Trump ordered US flags across the nation and abroad to be flown at half-staff in honor of the “service and sacrifice” of law enforcement, the US Capitol Police (USCP) and the 2 USCP officers who died in the wake of protests at the Capitol on January 6th.
“As a sign of respect for the service and sacrifice of United States Capitol Police Officers Brian D. Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, and all Capitol Police Officers and law enforcement across this great Nation,” Trump began the proclamation issued yesterday, January 10th.
Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on January 13th.
