Firefighters dispatched to BBQ event at NW Indian College

Several fire engines, 2 ladder trucks and medical units from Whatcom County Fire District 8 were dispatched to a recreation building on the Northwest Indian College campus this morning about 12:30pm due to a report of a structure fire.

Lummi Nation Police radioed What-Comm dispatch they were on the scene and the smoke was the result of a BBQ event.

All dispatched apparatus were advised to return to their stations.
