FERNDALE, Wash. — A large contingent of firefighting and aid apparatus were dispatched to a report of a commercial building fire at Barlean’s, a health supplement products manufacturer at 3660 Slater Road today, July 3rd, about 2pm.

According to Whatcom County Fire District 7 Division Chief Justin Iverson, the first crews on the scene could see smoke coming from a roof crest and made entry into the building. They discovered a fire in a garbage container inside the building and were able to quickly put it out.
