Organizers, visitors, vendors and performers alike were stunned at the news last year when the Ferndale Street Festival was shut down.
The high winds responsible for the decision to shut the festival were so powerful, they resulted in a regional power outages that required over four days to repair.
This year’s festival is looking forward to a warmer than normal evening for Friday’s opening and more seasonal temperatures under mostly sunny skies during the day Saturday. Winds of a mere 5 to 10mph are forecast.
