Ferndale School District held the 4th Annual Future Chefs Competition Wednesday, March 4, at the Ferndale High School cafeteria. Fifteen elementary students competed and the Top Future Chefs Gold Medal went to Skyline Elementary School fourth grader Sophia Tobler. for “Sophia’s Super Smoothie.”
The community was invited to attend and participate in the tasting of each entry.
The 15 elementary students competing during the final competition were:

Tobler received a gift basket of kitchen items and the opportunity to move on to the regional competition. The regional finalists will go on to compete to become one of the five national finalists competing for the public’s vote on a special Future Chefs YouTube channel. The particulars of the final competition will be announced later this spring.
