Staff at the Ferndale Community Resource Center want the community to know the Center, located at 5694 2nd Avenue, will be closed the week of July 4th, reopening on Saturday, July 6th.
This is a scheduled break as the FRC staff and volunteers take a week off each summer according to an agency spokesperson.
The community is asked to hold onto donations until July 6th or later to prevent a big pile exposed to the elements forming by the building.
The Center is typically open Tuesdays to Fridays, 9:30am to 12:30pm and the first Saturdays of each month, 10am to 2pm.
They provide information regarding social services available and maintain a clothing bank. Job search resources are available through use of Center computers. One-on-one resume and cover letter assistance is available by appointment. Interview-appropriate clothing is available along with tips for successful interviewing. Information is also available about adult educational resources.
