Ferndale area weather forecast calls for a chance of more snow

National Weather Service (NWS) forecasters in the Seattle office say there is a possibility for snow flurries and showers during the next couple days.

There is a 30% chance of precipitation after 10am. This could fall as rain and/or snow since morning temperatures are expected to be in the low-30s. Temperatures are expected to rise to near 40 by the afternoon. Little or no snow accumulation is expected and what there is will likely melt by the afternoon.

Precipitation is likely during the early morning hours and through the rest of the day and evening. Early morning temperatures are expected to be in the low-30s creating a possibility for snow. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible. Like on Wednesday, whatever falls is expected to melt with high temperatures in the 40s during the afternoon. Potential for frozen precipitation returns as temperatures drop Thursday evening creating the opportunity for more frozen precipitation. There is a chance of precipitation after midnight.

Friday and into the weekend
The current forecast calls for the propability of precipitation to start dropping Friday to only a slight chance Friday night with clear skies following through Monday. Temperatures are expect to remain cooler than normal with lows around 30° and highs in the mid-40s.
